Hi Horseshoe Players! We need you to be in our independent film THIS SUNDAY AUG 3 FROM 9PM-MIDNIGHT at WOODLAND PARK! That's right, Charles Mudede & Rob Devor (of Police Beat & Zoo fame) are shooting another film in Seattle and we need real Horseshoe 14 players to come to Woodland Park's Horseshoe pits to pitch horseshoes in the background. We want 7 pairs in the pits, so if you're a horseshoe player and you want to bring a friend, do it! Write us at hardlivingpictures@gmail.com or just call our producer Jaime Keeling at 206.349.9434. Here's the link to Woodland Park: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/park_detail.asp?id=292 So spread the word among your horseshoe playing community & we'll see you there! Hard Living Pictures hardlivingpictures@gmail.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: HARD LIVING PICTURES, LLC presents SEATTLE FEATURE FILM "NORTH AMERICAN" June 16, 2008, SEATTLE, WA -- writer Charles Mudede and writer/director Robinson Devor, the creative team behind two Sundance-Grand Jury Prize nominations -- "Police Beat" in 2005 ("Sensationally Beautiful" Variety) and "Zoo" in 2007 ("Masterful" New York Times) announced today that their next film project, tentatively titled "North American," will be a narrative feature film. Inspired by a true story, the film is about a commercial airline pilot who in mid-flight hears the voice of God and becomes so disturbed the crew is forced to make an emergency landing in Seattle. The pilot is placed in a hotel by the airline pending a psychiatric evaluation. Across from the downtown hotel is a verdant park into which he flees, and a passenger from the flight follows. The film is an intimate exploration of the heart and mind of a distressed man as he navigates the diverse geography of an endlessly vast and mysterious park from dusk till dawn. Admirers of Seattle's Olmsted Park System, longtime "Emerald city" residents Charles Mudede and Robinson Devor developed a story that would comprise the varied characteristics, moods, and tones of the parks into one mythical park centered in the most urban part of the city downtown. Once again the filmmakers will team up with cinematographer Sean Kirby, whose painterly style created the glowing imagery of the films "Police Beat" and "Zoo". Using a skeleton crew and shot Dogma-style, production begins June 28th-July 13th.
